Drawing A Day #137: Bulldozer

March 21st, 2011

I spent a chunk of Saturday sorting through bags and boxes of baby clothes that friends have handed down to us… I haven’t spent a cent on baby wears, and we’re already set until this kid is 18 months, methinks! Anyway, one particularly cute onesie had all sorts of vehicles printed all over it, including bulldozers… and then my brain went on a tangent. Here is today’s D.A.D. — Bulldozer:

And I know it isn’t a bulldozer (close enough! :) in this video but I also got reminded of this clip, one of my favourites:

Happy Monday!

Feature Friday #33: Easter fabric bin and eggs by sweetstitchshop

March 18th, 2011

Another local friendly from our Capital Crafters etsy team, Sue of sweetstitchshop also happens to be married to the brother of a girl I went to high school with — Ottawa is a small town, I tell you… and generous to boot! Sue’s donation is an adorable handsewn Easter basket and eggs set:

Sue is one of those rare people who was born and raised in Ottawa. Having dabbled in crafts her whole life, she first started sewing seriously when her daughter Linzi was born 10 years ago. She started with a small dress and expanded into various other items for home and children. When she discovered that she wasn’t limited to the fabric selection in Ottawa (which is pretty small) she was completely inspired! Ever since then, she has been creating and sewing… seeing where it all will take her!

Please visit her etsy shop…
And her blog too!

Thanks for reaching out, Sue, and for your generosity!

Have a terrific weekend :)

Drawing A Day #136: Walk this way

March 17th, 2011

I’ve been told that I have a swagger in my walk – I’m not too sure how to react to that but maybe wearing a cowboy hat and boots would be appropriate? In that spirit, I bring you Walk this way:

Walk This Way on The D.A.D. Project

So whether you swagger, saunter, skip or strut – own it!

We have a couple of more etsy treasury inclusions to write about: first, Rain rain was mentioned in ModGenesDesignsA Little Rain Must Fall:
