Feature Friday #17: Small Wet Bag in Lime Peel Dahlias by paisleybaby

October 1st, 2010

** Update: Paisley Baby’s wet bag has been purchased and is no longer available.
The buyer contacted us directly, so the listing has been removed from our etsy shop. Please check out Paisley Baby’s shop for more of terrific work! **

Today’s donation comes from a fellow Canuck and etsian whose fabrics and handiwork I admire greatly. Maria and her mum Dianne are the creative minds behind Paisley Baby, and they have kindly donated a Small Wet Bag:

This 100% cotton wet bag, which measures 28 cm (11″) x 28 cm (11″),  is lined with waterproof fabric and closes with a drawstring. It’s perfect for putting wet or soiled clothes into, but prevents leakage — great for the beach, the pool, the gym. I’ve actually bought a couple of these before, and they rock!

When Maria was a little girl, Dianne made all of her Barbie’s clothes. They never looked back! Paisley Baby, which they started in 2002, is a combination of Maria’s love of fabric shopping and Dianne’s 50 years of sewing experience. Together they design and create unique baby accessories and all kinds of fabric handbags.

They both live just outside Montreal, Quebec — Dianne on the South Shore and Maria off the West Island. Maria has two children (a boy and a girl) and it looks like her son has inherited the interest in fabric and desire to sew! They are fortunate enough to be surrounded by friends and family who are constantly inspiring us with ideas for new products.

Thank you, Paisley Baby, and keep up the gorgeous work!

Another treasury mention — this one curated by happyhoundcreative, featuring Awkward stages in the Arctic, and called “Love me… Love my teeth“:

Big smiles, all around. Have a great weekend!
