Drawing A Day #132: Raining cats and dogs

March 10th, 2011

The weather here in Toronto has been a little unfriendly these past couple of days … first the cold, then some slushy snow and now the rain … yay. But it’s also given me inspiration for today’s D.A.D., Raining cats and dogs:

Raining Cats and Dogs

Whatever the weather is where you are, hope you’re staying warm and dry!

And Darnit! just got mentioned in the etsy treasury, A Splash of Color, by DissonanceD (thanks for including us!):

Drawing A Day #129: Derby dogs

March 7th, 2011

Today’s D.A.D. has been in the making since December! We get illustration suggestions from time to time — and this one is the most collaborative one I’ve worked on; thanks to Shannon for the idea and brainstorming. Boxers and bulldogs in rollerskates? Sure thing… we call it  Derby dogs:

This one’s for you, Gundel! :)

Thanks also to TheFeminineTouch for including Grow a pair in her “Growth spell” treasury

… and also to maggieorileys for including Dots and dashes in her “Pay it forward on Pay day!”, a collection of items for sellers who donate proceeds to charity:

Happy Monday!

Drawing A Day #56: Let sleeping dogs lie

September 9th, 2010

How cute is this:

I kinda feel bad for the little guy getting kicked in the chin! Speaking of dogs getting their zzz’s, here are a few who might be in for a rude awakening … sometimes it’s best to Let Sleeping Dogs Lie:
