Drawing A Day #169: Skate Canada!

June 7th, 2011

Awhile back, our friend Amanda P. gave us the idea of doing a hockey-themed drawing. Given that the Vancouver Canucks are in the Stanley Cup finals, I thought this would be a pretty appropriate time to take her up on her suggestion. Ok, so it wasn’t exactly their best game last night, but I’m still cheering Skate Canada!

Skate Canada!

And can you believe it’s our one-year anniversary today? Yep, we launched The D.A.D. Project and posted our first drawing, The glass half full, on June 7, 2010.  Can we say, time flies?!

Actually, we’d also like to say: THANK YOU … to all of you who have been with us since the beginning and still throughout; to those who have bought our prints or our Feature Friday pieces; to our fellow artists who made these generous artwork donations, and to others who made direct donations through our CCS team page. We also really appreciate the feedback here on our site and facebook page.

With your help, we have managed to raise over $5,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society (wahooo!). Thanks for making it one heckuva year – we hope you continue the ride with us.

Have a great week!
