Feature Friday #6: Costa Rican Red-Eyed Leaf Frog by Rod MacIvor

July 16th, 2010

Today’s donation comes from National/International Award-winning Photo-journalist and former Ottawa Citizen Photographer, Rod MacIvor. Rod has generously donated a signed 13″ x 19″ giclée print of his Costa Rican Red-Eyed Leaf Frog photograph:

Rod is best known for his photos of Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and his family, and even gave photo lessons to Margaret Trudeau. Rod has done fundraising with his photos before — his exhibit of pictures from the Trudeau years travelled across Canada and raised almost $20,000 for Prostate Cancer Research. You can find out more about Rod on his wikipedia page.

For anyone in the neighbourhood, Rod will be exhibiting 50 new photographs from September 12 to October 10 at the Philip K Wood Gallery in Almonte, Ontario (7 Mill Street, in the Victoria Woolen Mill). The vernissage is on Sunday, September 12th at 2 p.m.

Thank you so much for your generous donation, Rod, and to your whole family for being such a great cheering squad!
