Feature Friday #15: Perfectly Pretty and Pure earrings by hybridhandmade
The buyer contacted us directly, so the listing has been removed from our etsy shop.
Last month, we were featured in a treasury created by fellow etsian Cari-Jane Hakes (aka hybridhandmade); shortly after, Cari-Jane wrote us to say that she’d like to make a donation to D.A.D. — she’s the first complete stranger to do this! And with that, I received a package from France and these gorgeous Perfectly Pretty and Pure earrings:
Made from sterling silver and rock crystal, they dangle just shy of 4cm (1.5 inches).
An architect (who’s exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London… WOW!), Cari-Jane runs a firm with her husband. Her love of details brought her to jewelry-making, where her work is obviously influenced by her design background. Please drop by her shop; this is one talented gal who makes truly original, versatile and beautiful jewelry!
This project has been wonderful for my sister and me for a variety of reasons… It gives us a feeling of purpose and positivity amidst a situation that is otherwise challenging. It’s given us an imagination-driven project to work on together and pushes us to be constantly creative. We’ve been inspired by many people who’ve written us with encouragement and kind words, many of whom have gone through (or are going through) similar circumstances.
And we’ve been shown heartwarming and humbling generosity… exemplified by Cari-Jane, as someone who’s never met us before but was touched by our project enough to reach out.
And with that, happy Friday!
We love hearing your feedback!
