Drawing A Day #133: Barking up the wrong tree

March 14th, 2011

Ever stepped back to look at the Big Picture… and while you’re there, found out you were Barking up the wrong tree?

At first, I was going to put a cat in the tree, but I’ve heard way more stories about people’s dogs chasing squirrels.

And we’re kicking off the week in two treasuries! Thanks to wintergarden for including our Warm fuzzy in her vibrant “Pixie Stix!” collection:

… and also to CatherineAnnDecor for including When owls celebrate in her “Give a HOOT!” treasury:

Happy Monday (and March Break, to those who get it :) !

Drawing A Day #91: Whiter shade of pale

December 13th, 2010

This is going to be the last week of D.A.D.s we do before we take a winter break for the holidays. How did it become mid-December already??

I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that winter has arrived, having had to pull out the longjohns and scrape off the car a couple of times…  Rather than pout about it, I thought I’d try and come up with a pleasant (albeit chilly) scene, and what better way to do it than with the help of a barn owl? Here is Whiter shade of pale:

Bundle up, (unless you live somewhere warm, in which case I’m sending you a big envious raspberry ;P ) and have a terrific week!

Drawing A Day #69: Autumn treescape

October 4th, 2010

The trees are turning colours these days… gorgeous fiery bright hues. While walking home the other day, I looked up and almost felt like I was under a drapery of fabrics, and it made me want to sew. And hence, today’s D.A.D. — Autumn treescape:

I love this cool crisp time of year…

And we’re kicking off the week by being included in a beautifully curated treasury called XOXO, by room29:

We also got a mention in this blog post by fellow etsian sandfibers (scroll down and you’ll see :).

Thanks for shout-outs!

Have a great week, everyone.
