Feature Friday #35: Adam the papier maché swordfish by cmunster

April 1st, 2011

And yet more local etsy team love…! This week’s donation comes from Cynthia Münster — multi-talented, creative, and sweet to boot. She has kindly handed over a most adorable papier maché critter, Adam the swordfish:

Adam is 7 inches (or 18 cm) long and 4 inches (or 10 cm) tall, and hangs from a beaded 12-inch (or 30-cm) line. He is pastel blue and pink, and hangs with his nose/sword a bit down and the tail up. Oh… and he’s mighty cute!

Cynthia is a photojournalist by training and still does a lot of photography in her daily life, but she also enjoys creating twirling mobiles and playful paintings. Fish mobiles in particular have provided her with hours of entertainment, both in their creation but also the sheer joy of watching them swim and twirl in the air. As a former reporter, she is also a bit of a political junkie.

Please check out Cynthia’s website here.

As well as her etsy shop here.

Thanks so much, Cynthia — looking forward to seeing you on the local crafting circuit :)

Thanks also to another local lovely, OwlyDesign, for including Nuts for you in their “Handmade in OTTAWA!” treasury:

You might recognize a couple of past donators in there — like Urbanite Jewelry, DempseyPress, and LolosPetals!

Great way to end the week: in good company :)
