December 8th, 2010

I was talking with a friend recently about how many people we know who’ve met their partners online. That chat was the inspiration for today’s D.A.D., Online romance:

Drawing A Day #75: You’re my boo

November 15th, 2010

We happened to be on hiatus over Halloween, so I’m a little late on the ball here… but for fans of phantoms and ghosts and mushy stuff, here’s my D.A.D. for today — You’re my boo:

Because terms of endearment come naturally for the supernatural…

We got a nice surprise over the weekend: our Awkward stages in the Arctic print was featured on the {Kid} Independent blog! It was part of their tribute to the letter “O”, alongside some terrific crafty items:

I’d never been to this site before, but it’s a wealth of information, inspiration and fun — check it out! I have a feeling I’ll be back :)

Have a great week!

Drawing A Day #71: Big love

November 8th, 2010

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been overwhelmed by how many people have lent a hand, sent a meaningful message, or just been there to lean on. If I had a nickel for everytime I said ‘thank you’ over the last month… One week after my Dad’s passing, John and I also took possession of our house (!!!) and in a very truncated nutshell, my husband has been the most extraordinary support throughout everything.

So it was with a warm heart that I got going with today’s D.A.D. — called Big love:

It’s very moosh-moosh, I know, but I did make sure to include some realistic adjectives in there too, plus a couple of funny ones. The best relationships are still always works in progress, after all.

Thanks also to everyone who’s ordered our 2011 calendars so far! The response has been really encouraging.

It’s nice to be back :)
