My friend Amanda was having phone chat with her sister, who was making soup and suddenly said “#% —I dropped a beet!” Amanda sent me this as an illustration idea, and I’ve finally come up with just the thing for today’s D.A.D. Here it is… Drop the beet:
These woodland creatures sure know how to boogie down!
If you have an illustration idea for us, drop a line and let us know :)

Thanks to GoGoSnap for including us in her funky treasury:

Nice way to kick off December!

In our househunting escapades recently, John and I have been seeing lots of wood paneling — yes, we’re looking at older houses ;) That’s part of what led me to today’s D.A.D., A Toast!:
Plus, I love toast.
And also, we found a place… and we take possession in less than a month (!!!) . That definitely calls for a toast in my books!
How fitting that Serena’s Raise your glass print was just featured in a treasury called “I’ll Have Both Please”, curated by PAPERJoY:

Thanks, and cheers!

If napping were an Olympic sport, I would medal. I think the skill was passed down genetically by my Mom, since we can both fall asleep pretty much anywhere and anytime. Usually, 20 or 30 minutes is all I need to get recharged…
Same goes for this fieldmouse, who’s taking a Nap under mushroom caps:

As a side note… I know quite a few people who’ve, on the other hand, deal with insomnia. Just as an out-of-the-blue fact, on the off chance you or someone you know has trouble sleeping, there’s a book called “The Insomnia Answer” that has helped two of my friends who’ve struggled with insomnia for years.
On that note… zzzzz.
